On-Site Project Engineer - Position and Responsibilities As an on-site Project Engineer (PE) with Middough, you will be responsible for directing a portfolio of small to medium sized projects which may include a single discipline or small/medium multi-discipline engineering design teams throughout the entire project cycle from initial concept through successful completion. This position requires being on-site at a client facility in southern Ohio for the project duration of approximately 12+ months. The PE will manage the organization, control, integration, and completion of a design only project or the design portion of a design/construct project to ensure goals/objectives are met in accordance with the scope, budget, and schedule per the terms of the contract. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical and management interface on assigned projects. Develop scopes of work. Develop and monitor project engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts including company work process tools. Designate responsibilities for phases of a project and establishes scope of authority to the project team. Develop and maintain monthly project status reports and execute change authorizations as required. Work directly with client to market, scope, estimate and execute single and multi-discipline consulting work on a continuous basis. Use technical knowledge and awareness of design details to recognize technical problems in assigned disciplines and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Education, Experience and Skills The successful candidate will possess the following: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of project engineering experience preferred. Background in metals, machinery, heavy industrial, mechanical engineering, and/or electrical engineering is preferred. Experience coordinating and working with equipment vendors and construction contractors. OSHA 10-hour safety certification. Experience and knowledge of contract and liability issues. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and all levels within the company around professionalism, trust, integrity, and collaboration. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and be highly organized for effective project planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Noise levels may be moderate to high at various client sites, hearing protection may be required and/or provided. Safety protections provided by the client and/or company and are required to be used and followed. May require occasional car or air travel to other company locations or client sites.
