Job Title: Welder

Job Description

The welder will be responsible for supporting all areas of the manufacturing floor. The primary function of the role is to read work orders, position metal products together and then MIG weld them safely, grinding any excess metal and slag. This is a production MIG welding role, but also requires the willingness and ability to run production machinery such as Punch, Press, Hydraulic press, etc. when jobs require. There is also grinding and finishing involved.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders and position metal products together for welding.

  • Perform MIG welding on metal products safely.

  • Grind any excess metal and slag to ensure a smooth finish.

  • Operate production machinery such as Punch, Press, and Hydraulic press as needed.

  • Engage in grinding and finishing tasks as required.

Essential Skills

  • MIG Welding Experience

  • Precision Measuring Skills

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Great Attendance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to run Press, Punch, Hydraulic press or do assembly tasks.

Work Environment

Smaller manufacturing facility - heated but no AC. The facility includes Press, Punch Press, CNC, Weld Stations, and Hydraulic Presses. It can be loud due to older machinery but is a well-kept shop. Expect great attendance, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
