Your Impact as a Direct Support Professional:
As a Direct Support Professional you will play a central role in helping individuals reach their full potential by providing essential support, ensuring safety, and encouraging independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with daily living skills, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and shopping.
Ensure individuals are appropriately dressed and maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment.
Observe and report any changes in physical conditions, unusual behaviors, or adverse reactions to medication.
Advocate for and support individuals at home and in the community, including medical appointments and recreational activities.
Perform household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
Immediately report any concerns related to abuse, neglect, or safety to a supervisor or appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Medication Administration Record (MAR).
Requirements:
Most schedules require alternate weekend availability.
A valid driver’s license (in good standing for 3+ years) is required for most positions.
Most facilities are not accessible by public transportation.
Must be compassionate, reliable, and committed to supporting individuals with varying needs.
