As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Reports to: Director of Physician Practices

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Minimum Education Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.

Required Licensure/Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

Licensed Practical Nurse Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA or Compaq licensure and in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.

Minimum Work Experience Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds Preferred x Required
