Role Description: Will work as a team member on infrastructure management and support. The role focuses on servers and VMware. Will work as a team member to design, deploy, oversee, and support a 55 site infrastructure. This can include but is not limited to installing hardware and software, deploying application infrastructure, and supporting cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
What you will be responsible for:
Develop and maintain the monitoring and observability strategy, standards, and best practices for the IT organization.
Design, deploy, and manage our New Relic platform and other monitoring solutions
Collect, analyze, and visualize the metrics, logs, traces, and events from the IT infrastructure and applications for complete end to end observability.
Create and maintain the dashboards, alerts, and reports for the IT operations, development, and security teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve the issues related to the monitoring and observability solutions.
Provide guidance and support to the IT teams on how to use the monitoring and observability solutions effectively.
Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the monitoring and observability domain.
Qualifications:
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Proven experience in an IT Monitoring and Observability role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of experience in IT monitoring and observability administration, engineering, or support.
Strong knowledge and experience with New Relic monitoring and observability tools and platform
Strong knowledge and experience with various IT infrastructure and application technologies, such as Linux, Windows, Azure, network, database, web, etc.
Strong knowledge and experience with scripting and automation tools, such as Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications in IT monitoring and observability tools and platforms are preferred
