We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the company s employee safety at work. This position ensures that all employees are following safety regulations and policies to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment. This successful candidate will conduct regular safety audits, training sessions, and emergency response drills, and will be pivotal in promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and implement corrective actions if necessary. Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientation, equipment uses, emergency procedures, refresher courses, and specialized training as needed. Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrence. Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability. Maintain records of safety inspections, incident reports, training logs, and other relevant documentation. Prepare reports for management on safety performance and improvements. Stay informed about current and emerging safety trends, regulations, and best practices to recommend improvements and updates to safety procedures and programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and regulatory agencies. Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure all employees are prepared for potential emergencies. Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other relevant safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce workplace hazards. Foster a culture of safety through ongoing communication, recognition programs, and engagement at all levels.
