Step into a leadership role and help shape the future of tourism in Winchester-Clark County! As our Tourism Director, you'll spearhead initiatives to promote our beautiful region, collaborate with local and state partners, and enhance the visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft and implement plans to position Winchester-Clark County as a premier tourist destination.

• Collaborate with local and state entities to develop and promote attractions.

• Ensure compliance with tourism regulations.

• Represent our commission at events, trade shows, and public meetings.

• Oversee the creation of promotional materials and coordinate tours.

• Collaborate with a marketing firm to develop and execute marketing and advertising strategies.

• Manage Visitor Center operations and retail activities.

• Provide excellent customer service and respond to visitor inquiries.

What We're Looking For:

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred in business or marketing.

• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with social media and web analytics.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

• Basic accounting knowledge.

• Passion for tourism and community engagement.

Work Environment:

Collaborate in a shared office space with the Tourism Commission, Chamber of Commerce, and Industrial Authority, right in downtown Winchester. Teamwork and communication are key!
