Aerotek Warehouse-Material Handler in Wilsonville, Oregon

Job Title: Material Handler $19.50/hr 12 hour compressed shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler with at least 6 months of warehouse or material handling experience. The role involves performing warehouse work related to the receipt, shipment, storage, or distribution of products. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, or storing products according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions, and performing partial pallet distribution as needed. You will also operate gas or electric-powered forklifts to move products safely.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and ship products from multiple locations using proper warehouse procedures.

  • Perform partial pallet distribution as needed.

  • Operate gas or electric-powered forklifts to move products safely.

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.

  • Correctly load LTL, FTL, and rail shipments using air bags and spacers to ensure products arrive damage-free.

  • Perform cycle counts to meet weekly KPI requirements.

  • Ensure food safety and quality protocols are followed.

  • Provide coverage in the absence of other Warehouse Support.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of warehouse or material handling experience.

  • Experience with material handling and forklift operation.

  • Proficient in using warehouse tools such as RF scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Excellent teamwork and independent judgment capabilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to push up to 500 pounds (with a pallet jack), pull up to 500 pounds (with a pallet jack), and lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds frequently.

Work Environment

The position is based in a clean warehouse environment. The staging schedule is the back half of the week (every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 6 am to 6:30 pm). Initial training will be conducted onsite at the Tualatin facility during the day. The position may require organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Mental activities will involve continuous decision-making, teamwork, and independent judgment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.
