Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are currently recruiting an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with hands-on experience in mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, lockout/tagout/tryout, and automated equipment operations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PLC/electrical/electronics/robotics systems, though this is not a major requirement of the position. Knowledge of arc flash safety is also preferable. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and self-directed individual with strong communication skills, able to work independently during their shifts.
Responsibilities
Perform routine equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Assemble and disassemble mechanical machines and facilities equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment failures to identify and solve root causes of machine malfunctions or poor process results.
Configure and repair plumbing and perform brazing.
Assist Controls and Automation Technicians with basic electrical, PLC/controls, and automation troubleshooting and repairs.
Essential Skills
5+ years professional experience or equivalent technical training in the maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, vacuum, or mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Experience with facility maintenance, HVAC, repair, and service.
Proficiency in using multimeters, volt meters, and other diagnostic tools.
Ability to perform welding and brazing.
Familiarity with 3-phase electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral.
Ability to observe and interpret situations, analyze, and solve problems.
Proficiency in shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and understanding of both SAE and Metric measurements.
Ability to prioritize changing tasks and duties.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Level II: Minimum of four years work experience in a manufacturing environment as a maintenance mechanic. Two years of previous technical training or coursework in industrial maintenance or industrial electronics/controls/automation through technical schools (certificate or diploma) will be credited as two years work experience.
Level III: 7+ years advancing position levels of applied technical experience as a mechanic or electrics/controls/electronics/automation technician working and training in a manufacturing environment. Two years of previous technical training or coursework in industrial maintenance or industrial electronics/controls/automation through technical schools (certificate or diploma) will be credited as two years work experience.

Work Environment
Work is conducted in an industrial manufacturing plant setting. The day shift training schedule is Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The permanent schedule is graveyard shifts Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat (five 8-hour shifts) from 9:30 pm to 6:00 am. This facility uses state-of-the-art metal injection molding (MIM) technology to create high performing small precision metal components to almost any level of complexity and at virtually any volume.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WILSONVILLE, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
