Welder and Fabricator

1st shift

Pay - $21 - $30 per hour

Job Description

• Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and parts. Identify universal weld symbols and various materials. Set up and operate welding equipment.

• Layout, position, align, and fit components together. Read and interpret work specifications, work orders, blueprints, and schematics.

• Visually inspect completed welds to assure adherence to specifications.

• Perform air arc gouging when removing welds or preparing weld joints.

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Accurately cut, clean, de-burr and prep parts for welding.

• Rigging and Crane/Jib use.

Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:45pm Mon-Fri.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
