Job Title: SIC Maintenance Plumber/FT (GE WILM)

Job Summary: Southern Industrial Constructors seeks Maintenance Plumbers for an on-going site in the Wilmington, NC area - the site has access to customer cafeteria and food services and is in a controlled environment. This role is for an on-going assignment. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements.

• Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g. unclog toilets and drains, repair leaks in drains and faucets, replace toilets and faucet fixtures as needed, etc.).

• Perform Installation of plumbing systems.

• Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintains.

• Manage a work log to keep detailed reports of work completed.

• Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed.

• Observe SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings

• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas

• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises

• Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings

• Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment

• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position

• Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools

• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working on ladders, and in awkward body positions
