Job Title: Housekeeper

Job Description

Summary: Perform light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hotels, restaurants, and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to customers by offering one-on-one attention to detail.

• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.

• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.

• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.

• Dust and polish furniture and fittings.

• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.

• Empty and clean trash containers.

• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.

• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and glass surfaces.

• Make up beds and change linens as required.

• Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.

• Respond to guest queries and requests.

• Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.

• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be comfortable with walking a lot, as the hospital is large and could require walking long distances to the next room to be cleaned.

Work Environment

Work at a hospital, cleaning rooms for patients throughout the entire shift. Expect to clean 8-12 rooms, spending approximately 30 minutes per room. The work involves sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and more.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
