Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

A typical day in the position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, saw operation, computer systems, and maintaining efficiency. Safety is the top priority at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently

  • Perform cycle counting and maintain accurate inventory records

  • Handle materials and ensure proper storage and organization

  • Operate saws and other equipment as needed

  • Utilize computer systems for data entry and inventory management

  • Read and interpret blueprints and utilize a ruler for measurements

  • Perform shipping and receiving duties

  • Ensure production goals and efficiency standards are met

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation experience

  • Background in warehouse operations

  • Knowledge of material handling procedures

  • Proficiency in computer systems and data entry

  • Strong math and reading skills

  • Experience with RF scanning and inventory control

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of 1+ years of warehouse and production experience in a metals or manufacturing facility

Work Environment

This position is based in a production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiencies. The warehouse employs approximately 150-160 full-time employees. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the employer. Shifts are as follows: 1st: 6am-2pm, 2nd: 2pm-10pm, 3rd: 10pm-6am. The position requires working 7 days a week for at least the next 3 months, with one Sunday off per month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Park City, Kansas

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.
