  • Compensation: \$18.20 /hr
  • Worksite Location: Varies
  • Schedule: M-R 9a-6p, Friday 8a-5p

Overview / Job Summary:

The Admissions Counselor assists in the development, implementation and ongoing refinement of the student intake process.

Your day-to-dayresponsibilitieswill vary, but are not limited to:

  • Works to convert prospective students to enrolled status and help them navigate the admissions process by providing information, answering questions and assisting with forms, referring to specialists when needed.
  • Provides campus tours and conducts information sessions to individuals and groups.
  • Provides assistance with student self-service by distributing tutorial materials and offering technical help.
  • Engages with prospective students with information via face to face, phone, email, and U.S mail by assisting with the Admissions Communications plan.
  • Provides quality customer service and general reception for guests and meeting attendees.

Requirements {#job-requirements-title}

Education:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experiencerequired, Bachelors Degreepreferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in college admissions and/or advising, or sales experience,preferred.
  • Self-starter who is motivated to assist the college accomplish goals of recruiting and informing prospective students of their options with the college.
  • User-level knowledge of Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel isrequired.
  • An operating knowledge of Student Services software, such as Banner, is required within three months of entering the position.
