Location: Erie 1 BOCES Alternative Education Services EDGE Academy Cheektowaga, NY

Hours: 7:15AM - 2:45PM

  General Duties:

• Assists with classroom activities as directed by teacher(s)/assistant principal/principal.

• Works with individual students as directed by teacher(s)/assistant principal/principal.

• Assists with behavior management in classroom and hallways.

• Monitors hallways during arrival and dismissal.

• Coordinates student’s classroom work with teacher(s).

• Assists/supervises lunch and nutritional activities.

• Other duties as assigned by teacher(s)/assistant principal/principal.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:

A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; or;

B) Four (4) years of experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved, not necessarily in an aide role; or;

C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
