We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting & Tax Manager to join our client's firm. The Accounting & Tax Manager will oversee accounting and tax services for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations. This role involves providing strategic financial guidance and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

• Understand clients' business operations and provide tailored accounting and tax solutions.

Accounting Services:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.

Tax Services:

• Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.

• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide proactive tax planning and compliance services.

• Conduct tax research and prepare technical tax memos and documentation.

Strategic Financial Guidance:

• Provide clients with strategic financial advice to support their business goals.

• Assist clients in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Identify opportunities for clients to improve financial performance and efficiency.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and other relevant accounting standards.

• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard client assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage and mitigate financial risks for clients.

  Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).

• CPA certification a plus but not required

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting and tax experience in a CPA firm or similar environment.

• Proven experience in managing client relationships and providing strategic financial advice.

• Experience in supervising and mentoring accounting staff.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSystem fx) and MS Office Suite.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
