Role Description
Form Energy is looking to hire Mechanical and Electrical Validation Test Technicians to support the electrical buildout and infrastructure of battery cell testing. This position reports to the Senior Operations Specialist. As a member of our validation team, your electrical/mechanical expertise will play a key role in developing the testing infrastructure that supports our design, operations, and manufacturing teams. Ultimately delivering critical performance and quality metrics to all stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on a brand new battery technology!
What you'll do:
Build and assemble electrical and mechanical components for first-of-kind cell test stands, ensuring precision and quality in all construction
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Support the installation and integration of test equipment into the infrastructure
Perform maintenance and repairs on test infrastructure to ensure continuous operation and reliability
Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies to verify compliance with design specifications
Continuously seek opportunities to improve build processes and techniques, contributing to a culture of innovation and operational excellence
Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates on process performance and project statuses
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility.
Monitor and maintain production processes, equipment, and parameters to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
Conduct regular audits and data analysis to identify deviations, trends, and opportunities for process enhancements.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and identify areas for improvement both independently and cross-functionally.
