JOB REQUIREMENTS: Eagle Flexible Packaging is seeking a full-time Press Operator A to produce high-quality printed flexible packaging materials for the food and medical industries. Currently hiring for 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am 2:30pm) and 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2:00pm 10:30pm). Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Obtain job information from Prepress department, assisting in anilox selection and color sequence. Load print cylinders into press, set print decks, and adjust registration. Set all register eyes, verify bar codes, and print repeats. Work with Quality Assurance team to complete job approval checklist. Set trim blades and check dimensions before first pull. Demonstrate an understanding of the in-line lamination process as well as in-line slitting. Use ability and experience to choose the correct web path for each print run. During print runs, monitor every aspect of the run, including web width and edge position, colors, registration, repeat, print quality, and screen quality. Bag and tag finished rolls if required. Retain samples for Quality Assurance Department. Document production issues, including material problems, down-time, and plate-related problems. Clean up projects, including assisting with the completion of necessary paperwork and verifying accuracy. Mix inks to match color targets as needed. Mount, remount, and unmount plates as needed. Assist in press coordination efforts to include staging, preparing, and organizing job components. Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management. Other related duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: High school degree, equivalent (GED), or equivalent work experience. Basic computer skills required with proven ability to learn new software programs. Knowledge of and experience with a defect detection system. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively complete job-related paperwork. Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Excellent work ethic. Must have excellent color perception and be able see with or without corrective lenses. Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with flexographic printing. Experience in the flexible packaging industry. Strong mechanical aptitude.
