Summary You will serve as an Acquisition Assistant PROGRAM MANAGER PMS 378A in the New Construction Aircraft Carriers Program Office in PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE CARRIERS. Responsibilities You will advise others based on your knowledge of program management, including financial management and contracting, to conduct long rnage planning and execution for acquisition, support, and modernization programs. You will manage contract execution and oversee contract performance. You will define contract requirements, develop contract strategies, and execute contracts. You will identify and resolve problems and issues that cut across organizational boundaries and implement strategic plans. You will assess strategic direction for resolution of mission critical issues, policies, and procedures. You will represent the organization as the program/project expert within and outside the command in efforts to resolve different viewpoints regarding the best means of managing the various phases of the program/project. You will define, manage, and integrate efforts of multiple-disciplined contracting teams that carry out diverse and complex programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR NH-04 (GS-14/15 equivalent): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience leading the development or implementation of programmatic, contractual, or acquisition strategies to resolve operational issues for ship warfare systems, subsystems, or components..
