We are hiring a Senior Advisory Integrated Logistics Management Specialist to play a crucial role supporting the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Team with life-cycle sustainment planning and ILS management for the NAVSEA / SEA-21, PMS 443 Surface Ship Readiness Program Office as part of the Bridge Integration, Ship Control System (BI-SCS) Participating Acquisition Resource Management (PARM), with specific duties to support Ship Control System ILS needs to support mission wholeness. In this role you will prepare, review, and administrate contracts to ensure compliance with specifications, organizational policies, and applicable regulations. You will also collaborate on the development of the Life-cycle Sustainment Plan ensuring integration and consistency with other program documentation such as the Acquisition Strategy, Concept of Operations, Data Management Strategy, Depot Source of Repair Analyses, Independent Logistics Assessment Reports, and Life-cycle Cost Estimates.
This is a primarily work-at-home position in the National Capital Region, however you need to be available to meet face-to-face on short notice with local government leads at NAVSEA HQ at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC as needed. There may also be occasional travel to Naval Surface Warfare Command -Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities
Provide program acquisition and sustainment logistics management, planning, coordination, and consulting support for engineering and Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements in support of the PMS 433 Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM) and Bridge Integration (BI) - Ship Control System (SCS) Leads.
Support the ILSM/Logistics Leads in the development and execution of product support strategies and product support packages that involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for acquisition and sustainment programs that includes both hardware and software (DevSecOps).
Consult with industry experts and logistics managers, advising on internal logistics program policy development, planning, and implementation.
Analyze Logistics Product Data (LPD) and develop/maintain Acquisition and Sustainment ILS metrics
Provide documentation development, development support, and document reviews, including, but not limited to the following:
Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs)
Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Plans, including Obsolescence Management (OMIS)
Navy Training System Plans
Item Unique Identification (IUID) Plans
Analysis of Product Support Alternatives (APSAs)
Maintenance Plans, etc.
Establish and drive Teams meeting for the ILS Management Team.
Collaborate in SharePoint to build products for delivery to the customer.
Attend Interoffice leadership meetings.
Flow information to ILS Stakeholders as appropriate.
Build Flag-level PARM ILS Status Briefs; distro as appropriate.
Education/Qualifications
Required:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with active Dept. of Defense Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree and +10 years of relevant logistics management experience ORa Master's degree and 7+ years of relevant logistics management experience.
Surface Navy and/or 1+ year of NAVSEA/SEA 21 logistics experience.
Must be well versed in operating in MS Teams and SharePoint environments including the ability to create and collaborate on products in SharePoint and leading presentations in MS Teams.
Knowledge & ability to influences best practices within the logistics management field.
Ability to conduct the most complex and vital work, unsupervised and with complete latitude for independent judgment.
Ability to support occasional travel to Naval Surface Warfare Command in Philadelphia, PA.
