Overseas Private Investment Corporation Managing Director, Stakeholder Engagement and Events in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of External Affairs. As the Managing Director, Stakeholder Engagement & Events you will be responsible for developing and implementing external stakeholder engagement and outreach strategies that support the DFC's mission and objectives, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and managing a team of outreach and event professionals. Responsibilities As the Managing Director, Stakeholder Engagement and Events you will: Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and outreach strategies that support the Development Finance Corporation's (DFC) mission and objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business associations, clients, think tanks, universities, and partner development finance institutions. Manage a team of outreach and event professionals responsible for executing DFC's stakeholder engagement strategy, events, outreach, external affairs, speaking engagements and DFC's speakers bureau. Work closely with the Office of External Affairs leadership team to ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Develop and manage stakeholder engagement events, including conferences, seminars, and roundtables. Create compelling presentations and communications materials that effectively convey the DFC's mission and impact. Monitor and analyze stakeholder feedback and engagement metrics to continuously improve the DFC's outreach and communication efforts. Provide guidance and support to DFC staff on effective stakeholder engagement practices. Please Note: This is not a Bargaining unit position. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to: 1) Develop and implement external stakeholder engagement and outreach strategies and events for an organization, such as small meeting arrangements, signing ceremonies, conferences, summits, conventions, roundtables, briefings, or events with Members of Congress and Heads of State. 2) Oversee an organization's speakers bureau to help align staff external speaking engagements with goals and priorities. 3) Manage a team of outreach and event professionals responsible for executing the external stakeholder strategy for an organization. 4) Provide guidance and support to senior leaders and agency staff on effective public speaking, messaging, and communications practices. 5) Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders within specialized areas such as foreign policy, national security, international development, advocacy, academia, diaspora, business, think tanks, and diplomatic communities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
