Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in the non-profit industry, located in Washington, D.C. The role involves managing financial planning activities, overseeing budget processes, and playing a crucial role in decision-making to set organizational priorities. You will be working in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide financial consolidation efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Manage capital and depreciation projections for multiyear financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee the allocation of indirect expenses, ensuring budget and forecast accuracy.
• Lead a high-performing team to develop financial analysis and provide consultation to business units and project leads.
• Manage financial planning system for Capital and Profitability & Cost Management, identifying, implementing, and documenting process and reporting improvements.
• Leverage financial software suite to improve and automate financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly reporting including P& L variance, capital spend, depreciation, allocations, and balance sheet analysis.
• Provide project management support including financial reporting, progress meetings, the review of statements of work and purchase orders, and the validation of operating and capital expense components.
• Actively participate in the strategic planning process by providing accurate financial information and analysis to aid in decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide financial consolidation efforts for budgets, forecasts, and multi-year plans.
• Employ your skills in Budget Processes, Capital Management, Hyperion Planning, Budgeting - Forecasting, Forecasting, Capital Assets, Depreciation, Fixed Asset Depreciation, Variance Analysis, Profit and loss, Financial Modeling, Oracle PeopleSoft.
The ideal candidate for this FP& A Manager role will have at least 5 years of FP& A experience, strong supervisory skills, MBA, Hyperion or another large financial ERP tool, large fortune 500 company experience is ideal and the ability to communicate and work with the C-Suite. Requirements
• Proven experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager role or similar for a minimum of 5 years, preferably within the FOR-profit sector.
• Proficiency in budget processes, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Expertise in capital management, including capital assets and depreciation.
• Strong understanding of variance analysis and profit and loss.
• Proficiency in financial modeling.
• Exceptional knowledge and experience with Oracle PeopleSoft and Hyperion Planning.
• Advanced understanding of fixed asset depreciation.
• MBA or equivalent degree in a relevant field is required.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
