WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
The Manager, Incentive Programs is responsible for Incentive Program evaluation, design, and development in addition to recommending efficiencies of supporting administration processes and HR systems. The role encompasses strategic influence, tactical execution, and leadership of project initiatives. The role provides thought leadership and consultation to Senior Leaders, HR leaders and cross functional business unit teams to design programs that align with organization and business unit priorities.
The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast or Central hours.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
This is a collaborative role that works cross functionally with HR teams, business units, and finance to understand business initiatives and recommend effective business solutions.
Lead the day-to-day operations of team of Total Rewards professionals including Sr. Analysts for data and incentive programs with direct impact on department goals and planning.
Thought leader to Total Rewards management in design, development and implementation of programs aligned with best practices and organization goals.
Studies and analyzes market trends, total cash compensation levels and best practices to determine optimal alignment with base pay programs. Designs or improves existing incentive plan constructs to support strategy.
Collaborates with client groups to engage them in building and completing incentive design, determining results, and framing clear communications on goals and results. Manages team through all phases including concept, development, implementation and closeout. Teams include compensation, HR communications, HR partners, HRIS, business unit managers and executives.
Collaborates with teams to explore system automation (Workday, external databases) for tracking, calculations, communications and reporting. Works to continually create organization-wide administrative simplicity and standards in plan documentation for compliance and understanding.
Scope: people manager that interprets and administers policies, process, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate units.
Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. The American Red Cross does not sponsor employment visas.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent relevant education and/or experience required.
o CCP certification or progress toward CCP is preferred but not required.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years Compensation experience with focus on incentive programs.
o A minimum 3 year people management experience required.
o Experience in design of programs to achieve business / organization goals with focus on executive and management level alignment and consideration of market data.
o Ability to conduct research, stay abreast of marketplace changes, engage external consultants where applicable, and deliver presentations to various level stakeholders.
• Skills and Abilities:
o Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills.
o Ability to interface with all levels within the organization and external partners in a fully remote role.
o Proven ability to present information through virtual platforms to groups of various sizes and job levels, including top executives.
o Ability to lead and develop teams, prioritize and multitask and be accountable to team and department deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong analytical and quantitative skills and attention to detail & accuracy required.
o Experience with Microsoft or similar applications, Workday and Market Pay.
- Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

PAY INFORMATION:
The starting annual salary range for this position is $110K – $130K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.
Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. *We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.*
