A career within United States National Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients gain valuable insight into emerging tax issues and trends, as well helping them implement successful tax strategies in response to legislative, federal, and judicial tax developments that will impact their business.

Our team is responsible for capturing, developing, and communicating essential information to the entire Tax practice (and, in certain instances, the entire US firm). We curate high-quality, leverageable content for use in connecting with clients; maintain toolkits and content management systems so that information is easy to find and use; design formal and informal Learning and Development programs to develop staff; and create and distribute thought leadership publications to enhance the external brand. In short, our team of professionals manage the majority of the tax knowledge and technology tools and platforms that support the entire Tax practice.

Additional Educational Preferences

Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation field of study will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by:

  • Oversee the tax technical logic and business application of state partnership technology platforms within the Tax segment;

  • Work with business teams to identify and articulate technical requirements for these platforms. Understand the role of technology tools in all tax matters and effectively communicate this to the practice;

  • Work closely with state, federal, and private tax teams to analyze the technology platforms accommodate a variety of positions, given the diverse client base across tax practices;

  • Manage the annual process to updates for all fifty state studies, including reviewing significant changes and growth trends;

  • Regularly monitor state developments and incorporate necessary changes into the studies;

  • Work with the Technology Team to implement required logic adjustments. Recognize when the use of a Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) is needed and manage the process of integrating their feedback;

  • Address and facilitate questions from practitioners regarding policies and rules in partnership compliance technology platforms;

  • Build and maintain relationships with the Tax Innovation, Tax, and Private teams. Organize sessions or processes to gather input from the practice;

  • Assess that all studies and technical positions are documented and shared with users, while maintaining appropriate access limitations as directed by Leadership andOne Firm Risk Organization;

  • In-depth understanding of state and federal partnership compliance, ideally within Tax services with an emphasis on state-specific matters;

  • Exceptional project management capabilities;

  • Advanced tax research proficiency;

  • Analyze and articulate tax regulations; and,

  • Build and maintain relationships with a broad range or stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is: $98,300 - $266,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
