Responsibilities
• Support Solutions Leadership – Present clear Vision & Plan for identifying, driving & closing Support Solutions Opportunities
• Ensure holistic customer planning that will increase Microsoft’s share of wallet through Support Solutions projects and advisory services
• Work with the Account Executive (AE) to leverage knowledge from the Account Team Unit (ATU), Specialist Team Unit (STU), Customer Support Unit (CSU) to ensure alignment with the overall account strategy and identify leads to develop Support Solutions opportunities
• Orchestrate and drive planning for the Services account-aligned team, including Account Delivery Executives (ADEs), Customer Support Account Managers (CSAMs) and Digital Advisors (DAs), balancing both sales and delivery priorities
• Focus on customer needs, challenges and outcomes, leveraging industry insights & the Solutions Portfolio packaged offerings prioritized for your role
• Execution – Enable Customers to realized desired outcomes through support solutions services
• Qualify, sell and close Support Solutions opportunities, using Services solutions assets and repeatable, packaged offerings wherever possible
• Ensure high customer satisfaction by focusing on customer needs first, and managing, escalating, and/or orchestrating sales and delivery success through the AE, Services account-aligned resources and domain Pursuit Leads
• Meet or exceed your revenue and priority targets, ensuring you execute in accordance with prescribed Microsoft methods, processes and tools
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
5+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
OR Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
4+ years solution or services sales experience.
Proven sales success and expertise in selling support solutions
Self-Starter and self-led sales expert experienced in sustained growth of their territory
Executive presence and ability to navigate executive suite
Microsoft Support Solutions’ knowledge and experience in on-premise and cloud-enabled support solutions sales
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
Executes recognized sales methods, processes and tools
Sales and business background, with technology-related experience
Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,100 - $185,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $144,000 - $203,500 per year.
