We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide exceptional assistance for technical issues related to building systems. In this role, you will respond to customer calls, utilize a ticketing platform to assess problems, and deliver clear, accurate solutions to ensure client satisfaction. What You Will Do:

  • Work within a ticketing system to diagnose and troubleshoot remote issues with building management systems.

  • Answer customer calls by telephone and/or email to determine the nature of the problem, assessing customer needs and providing clear and accurate responses.

  • Provide remote technical support to installers and customers; on-site support may also be required.

  • Triage alarms and create work order dispatches using third-party platforms.

  • Clearly articulate resolutions to customer problems in both verbal and written communication, ensuring explanations are understandable.

  • Perform system analysis and diagnostics, isolating and troubleshooting problems with corrective action when possible.

  • Document problems and resolutions, reporting findings to the Account Executive for customer follow-up.

  • If needed, recreate customer problems in-house to test solutions.

  • Keep customers and CBRE|Smart FM management informed of any outstanding or recurring issues with products, services, or customers.

  • Regularly communicate suggested improvements for customer interactions with CBRE|Smart FM.

What You Will Need:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Work history in HVAC or a similar industry.

  • Knowledge of Tridium Niagara 4.

  • Experience in customer support or a similar role is an asset.

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

  • Experience with control and HVAC systems and their terminology.

  • Experience in customer support over the phone and via a ticketing system.

  • Thorough knowledge of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS Word and MS Excel.
