Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Environmental Scientist to join our team!

We need our Scientists at this level to apply experience and increasing proficiency to assist with complex remediation projects. In this role you will perform a variety of field and office tasks requiring the application of standard scientific principles and fundamental theories. Some assignments involve application of computer software. Willingness to travel and/or relocate to field sites is expected.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of field and office tasks requiring the application of standard scientific principles and fundamental theories.

• May lead field teams by planning, organizing, and directing the work in the field under the supervision of the Project Manager.

• Provides technical guidance to lower level Scientists and Technicians.

• May be required to write technical papers.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a science curriculum related to the assigned discipline

• 3+ years of related work experience

• Working knowledge of software packages typically associated with the discipline is required

• A familiarity with environmental rules and regulations is preferred

• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, to climb, kneel or bend

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

• Ability to clear a fit for duty evaluation

Salary Range:

$52,700.00 - $92,200.00
