Manager Revenue CycleJob Description
Accountable for an assigned revenue cycle department unit or section, ensuring key performance indicators and goals are achieved. Monitors productivity, creating, updating, enforcing policies and procedures, and managing overall operations of the unit.
* Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
* Performs tactical planning and carries out strategic plan, while effectively managing staff resources, within budget & quality standards.
* Development and performance management within areas of responsibility, translating the departmental vision into meaningful and effective results.
* Monitor key performance indicators and prepare various status reports for management in order to analyze trends and determine opportunities for improvement to deliver successful results
* Responsible for daily operations of departmental unit and manages performance of department unit staff utilizing data (KPIs, metrics, etc.)
* Establishes operating cadence and leads team meetings/huddles and communicates changes in policies, procedures, regulatory requirements or priorities
* Works and resolves problems of diverse scope
* Accountable for team's morale, coaching, rewards, recognition and turnover/recruiting
Proficient in revenue cycle functions (billing, follow-up, denials, cash maintenance, etc...)
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving and decision making skills ; Exceptional written and verbal communications, Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.
Experience of Revenue Cycle Systems (i.e. EPIC), Strong execution skills
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's Degree Strongly Preferred or an additional four (4) years in lieu of Bachelor's Degree; Bachelor's degree in Business Adm., Heath Adm. preferred.
Medicare and other government insurance experience (preferred).
