Job Description
Responsible for performing all tasks involved in the fabrication of the company’s composite parts. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Responsibilities
Prep and maintain tools in accordance with specified guidelines and procedures
Accurately follow work instructions
Perform Composite layup such as: Carbon Pre-Preg, Carbon Fibers, Kevlar layup, Fiberglass and Hand Layup
Trim excess materials from molds, using hand shears or trimming knives
Perform part build-up free from wrinkles, air pockets, and voids
Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects by checking them visually
Understand & complete internal & customer required layup documents
Record information on appropriate production records, logs, and other report forms
Perform re-work as required
Clean and reseal tools using the appropriate release systems
Be aware of FOD & Tool control at all times
Continuously demonstrate the person to the highest practicable safety and housekeeping standards.
Repair defective products rejected by inspection or test personnel
Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role
Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills
6 months+ Manufacturing experience required
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Hand and power tool experience (hand drill a must)
Must be able to do simple measurements
Must be able to understand written instructions in English; speak at least 70%

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
