Job Description
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Verify specifications by measuring completed components. Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources. Perform cleaning operations of parts and maintain components for the assembly shop. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Utilize hand-held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun. Maintain inventory of products in work stations. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Be aware of FOD & Tool control at all times. Continuously demonstrate 5S Application. Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Experience with power tools, assembly, hand tools, mechanical assembly, tools, production, and laminators.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
Strong organizational and flexibility skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Team-oriented and deadline-driven.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
U.S. Person status required due to export control.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
Basic reading and comprehension skills.
Ability to follow directions.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
