Job Description Summary:
Primarily responsible for managing/stocking inventory, selecting inventory to support
compounding operations, managing and programming pumps or other infusion related devices,
packaging dispensed prescriptions and preparing supplies for delivery, coordinating and or completing delivery
activities.
Job Description:
Assists with the routine stocking of inventory storage areas
Assists with the procurement of necessary supplies by documenting required items on the appropriate log or communicating them to the correct individual at their branch
Assists with routine inventory counts as required
Assists with reviewing on-hand inventory to remove any short-dated/expired inventory
Assists with receiving and restocking all inventory items as directed by Supervisor.
Communicates any inventory items that are below minimal level to Supervisor for assessment.
Properly maintains a clean, and orderly warehouse environment.
Monitors all activities in the Warehouse for any outside delivery or courier personnel Are in compliance with Company policies.
Accurately picks/pulls patient ancillary supplies according to delivery tickets.
Properly stages the patient delivery for compounded medication(s), ancillary supplies and infusion pump (if applicable) for scheduled delivery.
Coordinates and schedules patient deliveries by Company drivers or contracted courier.
Properly handles as needed patient need requests.
Triages phone calls as necessary and responds in a courteous and appropriate manner
Contacts the patients/caregivers/contract accounts prior to delivery.
Properly makes the patient delivery in a timely manner according to Company policy.
Appropriately completes all paperwork involved with deliveries, including but not limited to:
Delivery Tickets
All signatures/dates completed.
Any necessary edits are completed and brought to the attention of the Pharmacy Support Supervisor/Coordinator
Narcotic Deliveries
Ensures that signatures/dates are completed.
Obtains additional required information is obtained per policy
Documents any funds received (i.e. copay, etc.) based on established policies and procedures
Collaborates with other Intramed Plus team members and obtains other documentation as required/requested:
ABN
All signatures/dates completed.
Patient Liability and Consent
All signatures/dates completed.
Adheres to the Intramed Plus Vehicle Operator’s Agreement.
Maintains appropriate licensure and insurance as per Company policy
Complies with all applicable polices including but not limited to those related to:
Delivery
Pump Delivery and Retrieval
Completes required annual employee in-services and competencies as required.
Work Place Safety
Hazardous Substances Transportation
Environmental Control
Handling of Medical and Hazardous Waste
Assist with appropriate maintenance/management of drug delivery pumps and devices
Properly clean and refurbish infusion pumps according to Company policy
Assist in tracking company assets (i.e. pumps, etc.) both manually and via the
Promptly communicates any infusion pump issues to Supervisor for resolution computer
Ensures that pumps, pouches, and IV poles are cleaned and available for potential patient use.
Accurately checks all infusion pumps are properly issued through delivery ticket.
Assists in identifying service related items
Participates on performance improvement teams as assigned/required
Participates in the on-going policy development related to USP797/USP800
Provides feedback on new workflows, products, etc. to the appropriate Intramed Plus team members
Documents any errors, issues, complaints based on the established procedures including Incident Reports, etc.
Assists with reviewing on-hand inventory to remove any short-dated/expired inventory
Handles on-call responsibilities in an effective manner
Works effectively with the on-call team
Documents On-Call activates within 24 hours when applicable
Presents to work as and when expected
Presents themselves in appearance and mannerism in a way that is consistent with the policies and procedures of Intramed Plus
Works collaboratively with healthcare team members in a professional manner
Completes assigned work in a timely manner/based on established schedules
Complies with departmental and organizational policies during the completion of all job related duties/assignments
Requirements:
High School Graduate
Pharmacy Technician Registration
Licensed in South Carolina
“State Certification” Preferred
Excellent communication skills
Personal computer experience desired
Meets ADA requirement for role including:
Lift over 30 pounds
Stand long periods of time
Stoop and Squat
Drive
Walk on uneven surfaces
Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:
Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $16.28-$26.43
