Job Description
The College of Education and Human Development seeks candidates for a full- time, Lecturer in Kinesiology with an emphasis on teaching Kinesiology courses beginning in Fall 2025.
Successful candidates will teach undergraduate level courses in Kinesiology, including (but not limited to) Physical Activity Courses (Jogging, Weightlifting, Rhythmic Activity, Individual/Dual & Team Sports), Foundation of Kinesiology, Fitness and Wellness, Sports Management, and Sports Sociology while working collaboratively with faculty to build a comprehensive Kinesiology program supporting multicultural populations. The supervision of students in internship class is also possible. Quality performance will also be expected in teaching, with course leads providing oversight for lower-level courses, as well as in teaching core courses. Teaching assignments will total 15 credit hours a semester including day, evening, and weekend courses.
Required Education and Experience:
An earned Master’s degree in Kinesiology from a regionally accredited institution.
Excellent skills in interaction and communication with undergraduate students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Education and Experience:
A Doctoral Degree in Kinesiology from a regionally accredited institution.
Teaching experience in Kinesiology-related coursework at the college/university level, including Physical Activity Courses and 1000-3000 level classes in diverse disciplines within Kinesiology.
