Job Description:

We’re looking for a Full-stack Software Engineer to join our Information Systems team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to develop and integrate AI-powered chatbots into our web storefronts using modern front-end technologies, primarily JavaScript and React.js. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing our customer experience and driving higher conversions through seamless chatbot integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement responsive and interactive user interfaces for AI chatbots using React.js and related libraries/frameworks

  • Integrate chatbot functionality into existing web storefronts, ensuring a seamless and cohesive user experience

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers, designers, product managers, and AI/NLP specialists, to ensure successful chatbot implementation

  • Leverage natural language processing (NLP) libraries and services to improve chatbot understanding and generate contextual responses

  • Implement conversation flows, logic, and state management for chatbot interactions

  • Optimize chatbot performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, AI/NLP advancements, and industry best practices.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team collaboration.

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to chatbot integration and front-end development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong emphasis on JavaScript and React.js

  • Amenability to work on a Hybrid arrangement: 3x working onsite per week

  • Amenability to work on a Night Shift

  • Minimum Skills / Must Haves:

  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript

  • Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility

  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX)

  • Familiarity with build tools and task runners (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, Grunt)

  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience working with back-end systems

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

  • Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with TypeScript

  • Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and isomorphic/universal JavaScript

  • Knowledge of any testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme, Cypress).

  • Understanding of accessibility and web standards

  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools

  • Passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies.

  • Familiarity with AI/NLP technologies and API integrations.

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and customer support systems
