Vontier Accountant in Malaysia

The Accountant is responsible for handling day to day operations of the Finance Dept , monthly closing and reporting and assisting the Finance Manager in financial planning , annual audit and tax submission. The work involves liaison between customers , vendors , auditors, tax agents, bankers and other team members.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Financial Reporting

• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to the Finance Manager

• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements

• Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)

• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities

• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required

• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/WHT/CIT/…), audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal

• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.

Compliance and Auditing

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.

• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely provision of required financial information.

• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations.

Financial Systems and Processes

• Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in finance and accounting.

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent or degree in accountancy/professional qualification (or partially qualified accountant)

• At least 5 yrs experience in a financial accounting role

• A broad range of accounting and commercial skills

• Excellent analytical skills

• Good computing skills in Excel

• Good communication skills and able to interact with all levels of management
