Vontier Senior Telecommunications Data Analyst in Mexico

The Position

We’re looking to add a Senior Telecommunications Data Analyst to join Teletrac Navman! In this role, you will be responsible for the telecommunications administration on a global level, covering regions including the US, UK, AU, NZ, and MX. This role will manage the logistics, tracking, and deactivation of SIM cards, ensuring unused SIMs are efficiently disconnected across all regions. The Senior Telecommunications Data Analyst will pull, collect, and reconcile data between our global supplier partners and internal systems to support our subscription services. The analyst will also build efficient, repeatable processes for regularly scheduled data analysis and reconciliation, keeping accurate records, following established processes to analyze data on regularly scheduled cadences.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Review report and SIM cards daily and assure they are disconnected.

  • Update files and reports with clear and concise notes on daily disconnection efforts.

  • Achieve disconnection goals using a consistent tracking process.

  • Manage and work with cross functional teams to resolve escalations and priority tickets Report on daily/weekly metrics of the number of SIMs disconnections.

  • Work with the regional process owners in identifying and implementing process improvements.

  • Identify and provide process solution improvements for cost maintenance and reduction.

  • Ensure team members understand how their role contributes to the achievement of the Teletrac Navman business plans through the communication of ideas, thoughts and information.

  • Ensure that SIM card shutdown processes comply with the General Data protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements

  • Be able to demonstrate compliance with GDPR principles and have documentation to support processing

  • Assist with the implementation and process review of technical and organizational measures to protect SIM card data during the deactivation process

  • Pull device data from internal SAP & Salesforce contracts

  • Reconcile supplier partner invoices to SAP customer invoice contracts

  • Develop, maintain, and run Microsoft Access automations

  • Coordinate with Customer Success teams to bill customers for overages when necessary

  • Pull SIM card details from various Telco parter portals and deactivate service when required

  • Prepare fiscal month end reports for Connected Services, JLR invoicing, Smartnav base, and Here map fees

  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions

  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively

  • Capabilty to plan and think strategically anticipating business needs to and ensure resource availability and provide valuable insights and recommendations

  • Strong understanding of workflow processes of the telecommunications team, and how the team integrates within the overall structure of the Service Delivery organization

  • Ability to set performance goals, provide feedback, and develop team members

  • Encourage and implement innovative approaches to data analysis and problem-solving

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Fulfillment and Provisioning, Order management, and finance ensure customer experience process enhancements are implemented in a timely manner.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field highly desired

  • Bi-lingual, fluent in English

  • 2+ years of experience in managing a team

  • 2-4+ years’ experience as data analyst

  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Access skills

  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills

  • Proficient understanding of database structures

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience working with Salesforce and Business Intelligence

  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively utilizing Vontier Business Systems (VBS)

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work to deadlines and know when to escalate issues. Can-do attitude with the ability to think outside of the box and get things done

  • Lead and motivate a team ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex data and communicate with stakeholders of levels in the business
