Oracle Product Manager/Strategy 4-ProdDev in Mexico

Job Description

As a member of the database product management team, you will assist in the development key initiatives, content, and programs to enable our customers and technical sellers to work smarter, not harder, and be able to get direct access to Oracle's Database technology in combination with Oracle's other platform solutions.

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Author/architect cross-solution workshops in the Oracle LiveLabs platform for multiple data management related offerings including on-premises, cloud, and hybrid cloud configurations

Lead the architectural discussions of the LiveLabs platform and how workshops interact with it

Develop technical strategy, solve complex problems for the LiveLabs platform including PL/SQL development of packages, APEX development of the frontend and configuration/integration of our OCI Tenancies with the LiveLabs environment

Participate and deliver special events representing the DB PM org (e.g. Database Collective, Major OCW style events, customer events, etc)

Act as a subject matter expert for Oracle Database to champion new feature adoption across the available database deployment options

Influence stakeholders to achieve impact through collaboration, presence and strong communication skills.

Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Documentation teams to understand the products and training needs

Develop workshops for Oracle Database Product Management team that aligns with standards and corporate messaging

Engage with PM teams to maintain the LiveLabs workshop content, so that they are current and reflect the latest database versions ad new features

Perform routine functionality QA checks across our database content catalog

Support Database needs across multiple regions and organizations like marketing, field, partners and customers

Coach cloud specialists on best-practice workshop delivery.

Conduct competitive database research and act as feedback loop to our PM teams

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Qualifications

4-year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering

6-8 years Oracle Database Administration, database design, database upgrades

3-5 years of Linux/Unix experience

3-5 years of Linux/Unix shell scripting

2-3 years of OCI Experience

OCI Certified Professional

Oracle Certified Associate and Oracle Certified Professional (OCA/OCP)

Experience with Oracle Database 19c and various database technologies like Oracle GoldenGate, Data Guard, PL/SQL, ASM, RMAN, Database Security, Data Pump and more.

Experience with Oracle Cloud Database Services

Solid communicator with the ability to articulate complex concepts

Proficient in using PowerPoint, GitHub, and Zoom

Expert in SQL and PL/SQL

Experience with Oracle Database 23ai is a plus

Experience with non-Oracle databases and cloud database services is a plus
