Our team operates within the Zero Trust Security Group, which develops and maintains leading-edge security solutions for Akamai enterprise customers. Through collaboration with development, QA, DevOps, product, support, and sales engineering teams, our primary objective is to enable our business to produce top-tier secured products, enhance our security features, and ensure robust protection for our customers.

You will develop, maintain, and architect our cloud services and web applications, focusing on FedRAMP standards. Working on top-notch network security projects with highly skilled colleagues, facing challenges and a dynamic learning environment.

In this role you will be:

• Developing new products and enhancing our Zero Trust solution with new capabilities and new types of deployment

• Designing, developing, validating, maintaining, releasing, and operating Python and/or GoLang based backend services Angular, HTML, and CSS applications (20% frontend, 80% backend)

• Reviewing and maintaining technical documents related to requirements, design, and architecture

• Taking full ownership of your areas of work from design to deployment including CI/CD pipelines

• Participating in technical meetings and bringing innovation into every solution shipped

• Tackling and successfully resolving problems

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 5 years of experience with a degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Have experience in writing backend applications using Python / GoLang or similar

• Have a good understanding of microservices architecture and have work experience with RESTful APIs

• Be familiar with relational and/or non-relational databases, caching mechanisms, and service communications

• Demonstrate understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Have expertise in TypeScript, including developing rich TypeScript web applications and creating reusable UI components

• Have experience with UI technologies such as Angular, HTML5, CSS3, with familiarity in general responsiveness concepts
