IHG Learning Specialist – Global Commercial Hotel Learning in India

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for ensuring the support and accuracy of the Global Commercial Hotel Learning offer by - managing processes, monitoring reporting, and activating communication plans and producing learning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(Key Activities)

  • Manage key activities and/or key programs within departments or area of specialization (i.e commercial hotel learning, scheduling, projects, translation timelines, content review, etc).

  • Serve as internal tactical expert and consultant on key initiatives (including but not limited to ReVision scheduling, stakeholder reporting, etc)

  • Communicate status updates, metrics, trends, and activities for assigned projects, programs or departmental initiatives.

  • Manages daily tactical support activities for assigned specialization.

  • Investigate new opportunities for creative and innovative Commercial Hotel Learning programs.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Experience

5 or more years progressive experience in Learning, HR or related field. Demonstrated experience in successfully owning or managing medium to large scale projects, programs or initiatives.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Human Resources or Learning and Development policies, practices, or requirements for assigned specialization.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in client support, customer relations, or human resources / learning and development.

  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and executing projects from conception through implementation. Demonstrated understanding of project management tracking systems.

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, and HR/ learning and development staff.

Other Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrates clear, concise, and succinct communication skills, including adapting both verbal and written communication to the needs and level of user.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in gaining desired behaviors through effective training methodologies.

  • Demonstrated understanding of instructional program design models, techniques and methodologies (ex: ADDIE, SAM).

  • Demonstrated proficiency with publishing and media development programs, Adobe Creative Cloud programs preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of (ex: WordPress, SharePoint, etc.). Experience with

  • Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word.

  • Have basic technical troubleshooting abilities to enable a hybrid working model (combination office & remote)

  • Must be comfortable using meeting systems and video cameras

Physical Requirement:

  • Ensure PCI Compliance and customer data privacy is met in accordance with IHG guidelines

  • Flexible work environment with a blend of remote and office work (determined by your line manager)

  • Flexible work time based on office hour requirements

  • Must provide internet access and some technology per IHG guidelines
