Job Description

Position Objective :

Identify, evaluate and complete opportunities to supply products and out-license on an OEM basis for use by other companies in their products and services.

We do this by establishing high level relationships with a range of companies in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) and applied markets (e.g. Pharmaceutical and industrial companies) space.

Essential Functions :

  • Focus on IVD market, automated sample preparation solutions and out-license business opportunities

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to OEM-out the company’s products to other companies for use by them on an OEM basis and/or license the Company’s intellectual property to third parties.

-Initiate and develop specific account plan to build strategic relationships with clients in multiple functions (e.g. R&D, manufacturing, procurement, marketing, QA and regulatory affairs) and at multiple levels (e.g. scientist, project manager and occasionally senior executives) as may be vital.

-Align, coordinate and may lead cross-functional teams to complete prioritized business opportunities that includes sales, manufacturing, legal, licensing, marketing, R&D, etc in Greater China, Norway and the US.

  • Prioritize effective customer visits by colleagues who are authorities in technologies and project execution from global production and R&D sites.

  • Pricing of customized products in long term and sophisticated contracts to achieve both profitability goals and customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate technical support to fulfill client needs, respond to inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely manner. Investigate product issues and ensures satisfactory resolution of customer complaints.

  • Understand and act in accordance to applicable licenses and intellectual property, as well as monitor and manage contracts and relationships with clients.

Technical Excellence :

Sophisticated knowledge of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, BioProduction and specifically of company products. Knowledge of IVD regulations and manufacturing quality standards. Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of intellectual property, patents and contract law is a plus.

Experience :

Require a minimum of 5 years of meaningful experience, including identification, validation and execution of strategic business opportunities and market research. Shown skill with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentations is required. Proven ability to lead teams without being the manager both internally and externally is helpful.

Working Conditions :

Must have flexibility to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Frequent travel is required (up to 50%).
