Title: NHG REGIONAL PROGRAM ANALYST Location: United States-Virginia-Virginia Beach Job Number: 240002BE Job Summary: Conducts financial analysis supports monthly financial statement and annual budget preparation and coordinates with RVP and Regional Operations Managers to ensure accurate presentation of hospitality financial data. Duties and Responsibilities: - Works closely with NHG Financial Department and NEXCOM Code F to ensure that accounting information and hospitality source information supports timely and accurate financial statements. - Assists General Managers in processing journal entries for transaction errors and expenses within the region to maintain accurate financial P&L reports. - Reviews the property management system to ensure all is in balance with financial systems. Initiates corrective actions. - Reviews monthly financial reports and provides input to the RVP on execution strategies and variances. - Completes NAVFAC e-billing and documentation with pay.gov for all project work and utilities prepayments. - Prepares all responses to data calls for the region. - Research and use data analysis, tools and techniques to assess risk; evaluate, document and improve internal controls; and prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse. - Examine, analyze, interpret and report on data and records. - Research, analyze and process information related to accounting transactions/events to ensure completeness and accuracy of data. - Assist facilities with tracking status of all approved capital projects within the region. - Assists GMs and facilities with proper documentation for capital projects. - Assist in coordination of information within the region. - Complete additional tasks as assigned by the RVP. - Coordinates with installation and code K for all contract renewals. - Completes monthly occupancy and manning reports. - Assists with the roll up of the annual budget submission. - Conducts PII audits and other inspections required for the region and installation level. - Timekeeper for all installation GM’s and regional team members. - Participates in strategic planning meetings. - Input and partner in facilities planning. - Assists facilities with annual capital budget. - Performs the full range of direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities over team consisting of several direct reports. - Position requires in-state and out-of-state travel 10% of time during the year. Performs other related duties as assigned. Candidates must be eligible for and obtain a Secret Clearance, within 6 months of appointment. Failure to obtain will result in termination. The incumbent of this position must file a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450, as required. Qualifications: Requires seven years of experience: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience performing responsible work in hotel operations/hospitality industry that enabled the applicant to gain a background in operational practices; skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships, and the ability to analyze problems, apply sound judgment in assessing practical alternative solutions, and the ability to communicate effectively with orally both orally and in writing. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or another related field for 3 years of general experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Four (4) years of progressively demonstrated experience and knowledge of policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to the hospitality industry or other related service industry operations. Such experience should include knowledge of lodging operations, quality control and branding standards, analysis of statistical data for review and drive results, and the ability to conduct operational audits, and develop training components for compliance; or similar work, which demonstrates the knowledge and abilities to perform the work of the position.
