Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the manufacturing industry, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The selected candidate will be responsible for entering and processing invoices, making check runs, and reconciling accounts in a dynamic workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely data entry for processing invoices.

• Conducting check runs to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.

• Reconciliation of accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure the smooth running of financial operations.

• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Demonstrating proficiency in numerical data entry.

• Participating in regular audits and implementing corrective actions when necessary.

• Collaborating with other teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable.

• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to financial policies and procedures.

• Continuously improving and updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks. Requirements • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar Accounts Payable Clerk role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with check runs and related procedures

• Strong numeric data entry skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of general accounting procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent educational level.
