PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a Per Diem, 0.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $37.53 – $55.84. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Details of the position:

  • This per diem position offers plenty of scheduling flexibility so that you can achieve work-life balance (plus the opportunity to earn a competitive hourly rate of pay, plus a generous 15% differential in lieu of benefits!)

  • Prepares for and performs standard x-ray examinations and may perform fluoroscopic procedures. Performs portable examinations and may perform surgical x-ray procedures. Utilizes proper positioning and selection of appropriate technical factors using various radiographic equipment to obtain optimal results.

  • Performs x-ray examinations applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures.

  • Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor. Evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated.

  • May perform surgical x-ray examinations, will utilize appropriate radiation safety measures and adhering to AORN standards.

  • Performs other patient care activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers’ scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration.

What you bring:

  • Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology.

  • PACS/RIS knowledge

  • ARRT-R certification. Recent graduates, within 30 days of graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, may work when they are ARRT eligible. ARRT(R) certification required within 3 months of hire.

  • Washington state Radiology Technologist licensure. Recent graduates may work under WA Temporary X-Ray Technician Registration (limited scope license) pending ARRT certification.

  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
