Our focus areas include fleet electrification and automation, with an emphasis on digital, systems, and operational optimization. We leverage the wide WSP platform and service offering to provide comprehensive solutions for our clients.
Our team is currently seeking a Systems & IT Infrastructure Principal to join our Bus and Fleet team located in our Vancouver office. Reporting to the Vice-President, the Systems & IT Principal will work collaboratively with a team of Chief Engineers and Specialists across Transit and Energy control disciplines (Systems Engineering, Signals, Electrification Systems, Data Communications, SCADA systems, IT infrastructure, etc.), Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system and IT infrastructure, with a proven track record in leadership, consulting, and strategic planning. This role requires a deep understanding of operational systems, management systems, and system architecture, applied to the bus and fleet ecosystem.

What you can expect to do here:
You will lead and guide the team, fostering innovation and excellence.
You will manage the Bus and Fleet System and IT team for efficient operations and work with other Business Lines and subsector markets as required.
You will oversee IT infrastructure and solutions proposed for fleet operations.
You will consult with stakeholders to address system requirements and ensure compliance.
You will optimize processes and manage resources to achieve goals and objectives assigned.
You will stay updated with industry trends and build a high-performance team.
What you’ll bring to WSP
University or master’s degree in electrical engineering, information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Registered or eligible to register as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
10-15 years of experience in consulting, system engineering and technology deployment, in-depth knowledge of operational systems, management systems, and system architecture.
People skills and ability to work in a client centric collaborative environment
Strong knowledge and understanding of Systems Engineering processes and principles.
Proven ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams and across different business units.
Project management and analytical skills: ability to analyze and manage complex technical problems/projects and develop effective solutions.
Salary range in British Columbia: $121,600 - $167,300
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
