General Statement of Duties:

The Operations Specialist II is responsible for performing routine and intermediate back office operational duties for all Bank branches in line with bank policy and procedure. The role will assist Branch Management and other branch personnel in performing their duties. Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations by working within the agreed Service Level Agreements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Check new account openings for all necessary documentation and accurate completion. Tickler all items for follow up. Perform fraud/ risk review utilizing various reports. May assign tasks to the Specialist I, guide the work activities, monitor progress and report accomplishments to the Team Leader. The Specialist II may review the work activities of the Specialist I to ensure transaction quality, service quality and that deadlines are met. Post payments / charges using the appropriate applications. Process internal financial entries. Reconcile General Ledger accounts. Monitor reject reports and take appropriate action. Review reports and prepare Incident Reports when necessary. Review override reports to identify any irregular transactions or inappropriate approvals. Monitor overdrafts, perform right of offset, send collection letters and track all collection efforts. Monitor and reconcile Suspense Accounts; research and clear entries, and process charge offs within policy guidelines. Maintain customer check retention and destruction after scanning. Review Reg D reports and monitor close-outs. Accurately and expediently answers inquiries from internal customers on entries and transactions relating to the specific areas of their responsibility. Performs test of branch controls, documents reports control issues. Resolves problems within given authority. Identifies risk concerns in order to maintain maximum protection of the bank's assets. Efficiently performs routine follow-up work and initiates requests for detailed follow-up work. Relies on strong verbal and written communication skills to fulfill internal customer requests and to ensure ultimate external customer satisfaction. Ensuring the continuity of high service levels. Conducts a variety of routine daily tasks; reviews reports, prepares correspondence. Performs other duties related to branch operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High school diploma Customer service oriented Strong verbal communications skills Shows initiative and a willingness to learn Ability to collaborate with other business units within the bank Working knowledge of practices and procedures relating to bank operations. Good organizational skills to meet processing deadlines and time constraints. Strong written communication skills to prepare a variety of correspondence. Active listening and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve issues or problems Strong interpersonal communications skills and the demonstrated ability to maintain effective and professional relationships. Must be able to multi-task. Routine local travel that requires driving and walking into and around various Branch locations. Ability to work independently with a minimum level of supervision. Must exercise a high degree of effective, independent judgment. Intermediate skills in MS Office Word and Excel. Bank database applications knowledge

Experience

Bank Operations experience required. Experience equivalent to 2 to 4 years

Pay Range: $23.00 - $24.00/Hourly

Hours: 27 per week

This is a part time position, eligible for overtime if hours worked are over 40 hours.

The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law.
