Our tester will be responsible for inspecting the quality and performance of Company products from the receipt of raw materials and component parts in Receiving Department, through the fabrication process, to final test and customer acceptance of the product according to Company, customer and industry standards.

What Will You Do?

Performs with limited hold points various tests and functions such as:

  • Vacuum fill and hydrostatic test.

  • Final leak test and crosspasstest.

  • Pneumatic test.

  • Pressure drop test.

  • Dew point tests.

  • Dimension check cores and trim to print.

  • Scarf nozzles on core andbatteryassemblies.

  • Helps fit up headers and manifold assemblies.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Manufacturing Environment with required PPE, noise, welding, forkliftsand various other equipment and machines running

  • Subjecttohigh noiselevel.

  • Usesacetoneonoccasion.

  • Worksaround sharp edges.

  • Usespowerdriven,handheld equipment.

  • Exposed toflyingchipsand aluminumdust.

  • Areascangetsmokey.

  • Worksaround water.

  • Musthandlehigh-pressureairandwaterequipment.

  • Climbing.Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.Body agility is emphasized.This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

  • Crouching.Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

  • Reaching.Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

  • Standing.Particularly for sustained periods of time.

Your Experience Should Be...

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

  • Qualifications to accurately and honestly assess equipment regardless of outcome of test, to hold the integrity

  • Three to Five years experience in Testing equipment or similar experience

  • Must have the ability to operate the following machines and equipment:

  • Portable saws

  • Ladder

  • Measuring devices

  • Clamps

  • Air pallets

  • Hand Tools

  • Pressure fittings

  • Overhead hoists andbridgecrane

  • Air testing equipment

  • Saws (sm/lg band, radial arm, chain, and table)

  • Electric and hand trucks

  • Pressure gauges

  • Power hand tools such as chisel, grinder, saber saw,airdrill, bander, machining routers and fixtures, etc.

  • Musthavesufficientknowledgeand abilityto:

  • Read finalassemblyprints

  • Read and usepressuregauges

  • Usemeasuring devices

  • Operatemoving equipment

  • Requiresmathematicalknowledgewiththeuseofdecimalsand fractions
