  What’s Required:

• Must be a Registered Cardiovascular Diagnostic Sonographer (RCDS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

• Must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

• Must be able to perform 2D echoes, M-mode, and spectral and color flow Doppler. In addition, must be able to do treadmill stress echocardiograms.

• Must be able to perform the following vascular ultrasound exams: abdominal aorta, renal artery, mesenteric artery, carotid artery, and both arterial and venous of the upper and lower extremities. In addition, must be able to perform a noninvasive physiological testing of the lower extremities.

• 1 year of clinical experience performing adult echocardiograms.

• 1 year of clinical experience performing treadmill stress echoes.

• 1 year of clinical experience performing adult vascular ultrasounds.

• Must perform examinations in an acceptable time frame using a variety of complex equipment.
