Description We are seeking a meticulous Billing Clerk for a role based in Towson, Maryland. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing accounts for billing purposes, assisting with appeals, and processing adjustments. This role also requires data analysis skills and strong customer service abilities, as the candidate will be expected to resolve discrepancies and follow up with customers on invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze accounts for billing purposes

• Assist with appeals when customers disagree with the amount billed

• Process adjustments based on the analysis of the account

• Conduct prescrubbing of data and follow up with customers on invoices

• Resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner

• Handle customer service responsibilities, including resolving customer complaints and inquiries

• Utilize various Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Office Suites to perform tasks

• Ensure accurate Billing Functions and Collection Processes

• Maintain Account Balance and conduct Account Analysis

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Statements effectively Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Billing Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Demonstrated understanding of Billing Functions

• Experience with Collection Processes

• Exceptional Customer Service skills

• Extensive knowledge in Billing and preparing Billing Statements

• Ability to manage and analyze Account Balance and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Account Analysis

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field is a plus.
