Your Role on Our Team

The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for managing outsourced products for Power Tool Accessories and Outdoor Power Equipment Accessories business units and report to the Sr. Sourcing Manager of Procurement. You will be responsible for developing and managing strong partnerships with our business unit while ensuring sourcing projects and initiatives are well aligned with the BU’s goals and strategic priorities.

This Sourcing Manager will be responsible for prioritizing strategic and project initiatives by developing and executing sourcing strategies with an existing and a new in region supply base to ensure Milwaukee Tool is maximizing the value by driving to the lowest total cost of ownership. This role supports new product development (NPD), increases the quality-of-service delivery, improves commercial terms, minimizes supply chain risks, and ensures all productivity, and sourcing metrics are met and support our corporate and organizational goals.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligning with corporate objectives for production, NPD, and R&D activities, support NPD and early supplier involvement to enhance problem-solving abilities, reduce lead times, and optimize costs.

  • Lead supplier contract negotiations, employing various negotiation styles to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

  • Locate, onboard and develop a new in region supply base (Mexico and nearby countries)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and provide expertise in strategic sourcing and category management.

  • Provide strategic guidance based on data analysis and trends to improve operational performance.

  • Establish benchmarks and scorecards for supplier performance and cultivate long-term partnerships to drive productivity.

  • Develop commodity strategies to reduce total cost of ownership and enhance customer service.

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business unit through project management and change initiatives.

  • Build relationships across the organization and influence stakeholders, including suppliers and senior management.

  • Analyze make versus buy decisions and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and process improvement.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure material supply supports production volumes and business objectives.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or engineering related field.

  • Have 4+ years global sourcing experience with considerable understanding of procurement concepts, principles and at least 3+ years of commodity management and strategic sourcing experience.

  • Have strong negotiation skills and strategic sourcing and analytical skills.

  • Show excellence in analytical, fact-based problem solving, and strong sense of urgency.

  • Have strong project management skills to develop plans, action steps and timetables and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrate strategic decision-making skills regarding business planning processes, make/buy decisions, and similar business-related concerns.

  • Strong collaboration, influencing skills and communication skills across all organizational levels, both internally and within supplier organizations.

  • Exhibit a high degree of autonomy with the ability to work effectively in a team environment to pull disparate pieces together across the organization and "get things done".

  • Ability to partner with department leaders to identify, create, and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needs.

  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement ethos; ability to identify areas of opportunity and positively influence business decisions.

  • Strong track record of driving results and savings/cost reduction and execute projects on time.

  • Demonstrated experience in data mining to help make fact based, data driven decisions.

  • Familiar with ERP systems.

  • Must be Fluent in English and Spanish.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Experience with metals stamping & machining, castings, plastic molding, and other commodities is a plus.

  • Master’s degree preferred
