Do you want to work side by side with the best broadcasters and help shape the sound of Newstalk 1010? We are looking for a creative, detail oriented, technically minded, highly motivated individual who understands the art of audio technical production and the importance of using sound to bring programming to life.
Position: Radio Technical Board Operator, Bell Media, Newstalk 1010
Location: 260 Richmond Street West, Toronto, On.
Job Status: Regular Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
Produce and distribute programs for broadcast, affiliates and podcasting
Work with on-air talent to ensure you are aligned with their needs.
Work closely with Show Producers to execute their vision.
Collaborating with Television Partners
Actively involved in editorial and production meetings
Cut clips to share with other shows
Other duties as assigned
Critical Qualifications:
Minimum 1-year experience as a board operator and producer for a live radio show
Proven ability to make fast competent decisions under pressure and communicate those decisions effectively
Excellent audio editing and production skills
Outstanding team player with an ability to work well independently
Understanding of social media
Strong communication skills
Diploma in radio broadcasting, production or related fields or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous control room experience with WideOrbit Automation. Working knowledge of Burli and Lawo Consoles is an asset
Forward thinking, a creative and open-minded problem solver with experience maximizing the best use of the company’s resources
Excellent writing, communication, computer and organizational skills

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
