What You’ll Be Doing
As an integral member of the CIBC’s Portfolio Management and Enablement team, reporting to the Director, CIBC Digital Portfolio Management, the Consultant, Portfolio Management & Enablement will provide support to the Senior Digital leadership team in the planning, assessment and implementation of strategies and initiatives across the business. The Consultant is accountable for providing direct support to the Directors and Sr. Directors on matters related to the successful management and operations of the department.

How You’ll Succeed
Financial Analysis & Operational Reporting – Support the reporting on project financials performance in collaboration with PBB Finance and the Chief Administrative Office. Manage project portfolio reporting and planning, including maintaining a dashboard for Digital’s financial data reporting. Develop presentations for an executive audience and contribute in communicating key messages intended to support decision making.
Strategic Management – Communicate status updates and insights on business objectives (i.e. progress on project investment spending, project & business profitability, funding requests). Find clarity in ambiguous situations to clearly articulate business direction and performance. Develop a strong understanding of the CIBC Digital business within Personal Banking, including strategic direction and business roadmap, project financials, and how the group contributes to the overall success of CIBC.
Collaboration – Liaise with functional groups across CIBC when developing business or financial analysis. Work closely with partners in Technology and Digital product groups to ensure strategic and financial alignment. Communicate with the bank’s Project Management Office and other stakeholders to accurately forecast, manage and report on the health of Digital’s project investments. Act as a single point of contact between inter-departmental groups where expertise and experience need to be shared.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 2 to 5 years of work experience in financial services. It’s an asset if you have knowledge and understanding of accounting principles to analyze and interpret business performance.
You can demonstrate 2 to 5 years of work experience in financial modeling skills to help develop business case investment proposals and track business unit performance for enterprise reporting. It's an asset if you have prior experience working with financial reporting or business intelligence software., i.e., Tableau.
You can demonstrate 2 to 5 years of work experience in financial analysis and presentation skills. You're an expert user of Microsoft Excel including look ups, developing dashboards, pivot tables, import data sources, translate them into buss performance, automate dashboard and performance analytics for business reporting. And Microsoft PowerPoint to synthesize a variety of data sources into meaningful models and presentations for Digital leadership including Directors and Sr. Directors.
